This policy explains how SIA “Alejas Projekti” processes personal data when you visit akuvaki.lv or contact us, and how cookies are used on this website. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the laws of the Republic of Latvia.

2. What data we process, why and on what legal basis
2.1. Enquiries and the contact form
If you fill in the enquiry form, send us an email or call us, we process your name, company name (if provided), phone number, email address and the content of your message.
- Purpose: to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and arrange the supply of products.
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Retention: up to 2 years after the last contact if no contract is concluded. If a contract is concluded, data are kept for the duration of the contract and as long as required by law (e.g. accounting record retention periods).
2.2. Website statistics (Google Analytics 4)
If you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website (pages viewed, visit duration, device type, approximate location, referral source). Analytics cookies and online identifiers are used for this purpose.
- Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
- Retention: cookies – up to 2 years; statistics in the Google Analytics account – up to 14 months.
2.3. Measuring advertising effectiveness (Meta Pixel)
If you consent, we use Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to show ads to people who have visited our website. Marketing cookies and information about your actions on the website (e.g. page views, contact form submissions) are used for this purpose.
- Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. For the collection and transmission of data via Meta Pixel, SIA “Alejas Projekti” and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited are joint controllers.
- Retention: cookies – up to 90 days.
2.4. Recording cookie consent
To be able to demonstrate that you have given or refused consent to cookies, we record your choice, its time and the country from which the website was visited.
- Legal basis: legal obligation to demonstrate consent (Article 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Article 7(1) GDPR).
- Retention: 12 months.
2.5. Website operation and security
To run the website, the hosting server automatically processes technical data (IP address, browser type, time of request). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in ensuring the operation and security of the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are kept for a limited period in accordance with the hosting provider’s terms.
3. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Necessary cookies are required for the website to work and do not require consent. Analytics and marketing cookies are only used if you consent to them in the cookie notice. Until you give consent, the Google Analytics and Meta Pixel scripts are not loaded.

How to change your choice or withdraw consent: click the cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of the website and change your settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
The Google Maps map embedded on the contact page is only loaded after you consent, as Google may use its own cookies in that case.
4. Recipients and transfers outside the EU/EEA
We do not sell your data. Data may only be received by:
- website hosting and email service providers acting as our processors;
- Google Ireland Limited and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited – only if you have consented to analytics or marketing cookies;
- public authorities where required by law.
Google and Meta may also transfer data to their affiliates in the USA. Such transfers are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your personal data and receive a copy;
- request the correction of inaccurate data;
- request the erasure of data or restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive the data you have provided in a structured format (data portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise your rights, write to info@akuvaki.lv. We will respond within one month. If you believe that the processing of your data infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (www.dvi.gov.lv).

We may update this policy if the tools used on the website or legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
